Sometimes an object catches your eye – whether it is a gorgeous dress, a painting or a piece of jewelry. I’m talking about something that has the I’ve-just-got-to-have-it-right-this-second factor. Well, when we were in New York City last November, we were walking around downtown and passed lots of amazing markets set up in the street. An owl ring caught my eye. I tried it on and fell in love, but thought to myself…I don’t really need this. Well, ever since, I have not been able to stop thinking about it. I’m talking borderline obsessive thoughts, here.
So, I contacted the designer a few weeks ago and decided to treat myself for my birthday. I figured if I have been daydreaming about this ring for over six months that it belonged on my finger, right?
Plus…this fits in my Harry Potter theme for the week since, in my mind, it was inspired by none other than Harry’s owl, Hedwig.
I give you my owl ring, designed by Kimberlin Brown Jewelry.
Hand-made, sterling silver complete with two amethyst stones.
If you can’t tell, I’m obsessed.
Paired with my baby ruby ring, given to me by my grandmother when I was a kid.
P.S. When I wasn’t at work my nose was buried in my book. All. Week. Long. Therefore, I finished the final book last night. Mission: accomplished…
…and date night at the movies is officially on the books. I purchased our tickets online to be sure we would have seats. 9:10 pm can’t come soon enough!
